Tim is in demand as a music education consultant, working in nursery settings to some of the country’s leading conservatoires and universities. He brings the rare combination of experience as both a professional musician and a classroom teacher, grounding his work in deep practical understanding of how children and young people learn.
Primary and Early Years Music Specialist
Tim is a qualified Primary School and Early Years teacher, and spent several years as Music Lead for a Multi Academy Trust in Gloucestershire. He holds the British Kodály Academy Primary Certificate and currently works as Animateur for Music Partnerships at Radley College, supporting music‑making across schools in Abingdon and delivering continuing professional development (CPD) for teachers.
Artist Development
Tim leads training projects for professional musicians, emerging artists and students, focusing on creative leadership, improvisation, performance, group composition and public speaking. His training work includes collaborations with Thinking Music, Hand Of, MishMash, NYO Inspire, and students at Oxford, Bristol, Royal Holloway, the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music.
